Client entertainment is an exercise in reading the room
A business evening in Prague should make the relationship easier the next morning, not create a story everyone wishes had stayed off the agenda. That means planning for comfort, conversation and clear expectations before thinking about spectacle.
Prague gives you plenty of options: a strong dinner, cocktails, a cultural performance, a river walk, a hotel bar, late-night venues and adult cabaret. The right choice depends on the people at the table, not on what seems most “Prague” in a generic travel guide.
Start with the most conservative shared option
If you do not know your guests well, begin with dinner. It is neutral, useful and creates space to learn whether people want the evening to continue. A good host gives the group an easy off-ramp rather than presenting a sequence of activities that everyone is socially obliged to accept.
If someone has an early meeting, does not drink, is travelling with a partner or simply prefers a quiet night, that should not become awkward. The best client entertainment feels optional even when it is carefully organized.

Use Prague’s compact centre to reduce logistics
For business groups, transport is dead time. Choose dinner and any after-dinner venue in the same part of the centre when possible. Old Town and New Town are close enough that you can create a polished evening with a short walk rather than a convoy of cars.
Wenceslas Square is a useful reference point because it connects hotels, restaurants, transport and late-night venues. Diamond is on Krakovská nearby, which is one reason it can fit an evening that is already centered in New Town.
Dress one level above daytime business casual
If the day involved meetings, you may already be dressed appropriately. A suit can move directly into dinner and late-night drinks; removing the tie or changing a layer is often enough to shift from office to evening. If the group has returned to the hotel, suggest “smart evening” rather than a complicated dress instruction.
Diamond itself recommends smart evening style, so a business group should not need a second wardrobe if the venue is part of the agreed plan.
Adult nightlife should never be the default client activity
This point deserves to be explicit. Diamond is an 18+ cabaret nightlife venue. Taking clients to adult entertainment can be entirely inappropriate depending on company policy, culture, seniority, gender dynamics, personal preference and the nature of the relationship. Never treat it as the automatic “fun” option after dinner.
Only include an adult cabaret venue when the group has clearly and voluntarily expressed interest and there is no professional pressure to agree. If you are uncertain, choose another late-night option. Discretion begins with giving people a genuine choice.
When Diamond can fit the evening
When the group is explicitly comfortable with adult cabaret, Diamond offers a table-centred format rather than a purely standing club environment. The official description emphasizes dancers, music, drinks, reserved seating and table service in an intimate room near Wenceslas Square.
For client entertainment, a confirmed table is generally preferable to a walk-in because it reduces queueing and uncertainty. Current online packages list the inclusions before payment; if the group has specific seating or timing needs, add a clear note to the booking or contact the venue in advance.

Handle spending before it becomes visible
Decide who is paying and what level of spend is approved before the evening. If the company is covering entertainment, check internal expense and hospitality rules. If individuals will pay their own way, make that clear before anyone interprets a premium table as a hosted invitation.
At any venue, ask for clear pricing and use packages or menus where inclusions are explicit. Ambiguity is uncomfortable socially and avoidable operationally.
Discretion is partly behavioural
Do not photograph colleagues or clients in a nightlife setting without permission. Do not post location tags in real time because “everyone does it”. Do not turn the evening into content for a company chat. A guest who knows they will not appear on social media can relax in a way that a constantly filming group cannot.
At an adult venue, follow the venue’s current photography rules and staff instructions. Professional discretion is not something the venue can provide for you; it is something the group practices.
A business-evening structure that works
19:00 — dinner near the hotel or central meeting point. 21:00 — ask whether the group wants to continue. 21:15 — one drink or a short walk. 22:00 onward — the mutually agreed late venue. Keep cars available for anyone who wants to return to the hotel rather than forcing the whole party to move as a unit.
The next morning is the best test of the plan. If everyone can meet for breakfast without apology, the evening was probably pitched at the right level.
